# Instagram Integration: AI Replies for Comments and DMs

## Requirements

  Your Instagram account must be connected to a Facebook Page via Meta Business Manager. Personal Instagram accounts are not supported — only Instagram Business or Creator accounts linked to a Facebook Page can be connected.

## How to connect

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Channels in Exerta">
    In Exerta, go to **Settings → Channels**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add Instagram">
    Click **Add Channel → Instagram**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorize via Meta Business Manager">
    A Meta Business Manager authorization pop-up appears. Log in with the account that manages your Instagram Business account and the Facebook Page it's linked to.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select your Instagram account">
    Choose the Instagram account you want to connect. You'll see only accounts that are properly linked to a Facebook Page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Grant permissions">
    Review and grant the requested permissions so Exerta can read comments, post replies, and manage DMs on your behalf.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go live">
    Your Instagram account appears in the Channels list. Agents can be activated immediately across both ads and organic posts.
