# Managing Team Access and Roles in Your Exerta Workspace

> Add teammates to your Exerta workspace and control what each person can do using Owner, Admin, Editor, and Viewer role permissions.

Exerta supports team access on all paid plans, so you can bring your whole team into a single workspace. Invite colleagues, assign roles that match their responsibilities, and give everyone exactly the access they need — nothing more, nothing less. Whether you're a two-person team or a large marketing department, roles keep your workspace organised and your data protected.

<Note>
  Team access is available on Starter and above. The Free plan is single-user only.
</Note>

## Roles

Each team member is assigned one of four roles. Permissions are cumulative — more senior roles include everything below them.

| Role       | Can do                                                                             |
| ---------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Owner** | Full access — billing, settings, agents, channels, and team management |
| **Admin** | Everything the Owner can do, except modify billing details or delete the workspace |
| **Editor** | Create and edit agents and moderation rules; view analytics and conversation logs |
| **Viewer** | View-only access — analytics, logs, and conversations; cannot make any changes |

The audit log is available to Owners and Admins and cannot be modified or deleted.

## Scale and Enterprise

On Scale and Enterprise plans, you get access to advanced access controls that go beyond the standard four roles — including custom permission sets and stricter restrictions for sensitive workflows. You also get a **dedicated Slack channel** shared between your team and the Exerta team, so you can get fast answers and collaborate in real time.

To learn more or enable advanced controls, use the **Book a Call** link in your dashboard to speak with the team directly.
